Team Notes

     The Challengers dethroned the Zurich Barracudas in three straight games to capture their first Swiss title since 1986 and fourth overall. ...Game 3 was decided in the sixth inning as the Challengers sent 11 batters to the plate and scored eight times to take a 12-7 lead. The game ended after 8 innings on newly-acquired Many Marchant's three-run homer thanks to the 10-run mercy-rule. ...Saentis Zeller had two doubles, two homers, six RBI's and scored four times. ...Thomas Landis pitched his 9th complete game of the season and collected his 11th win, both leading all Swiss pitchers.
