Benny Räber showed a nice performance against the Cologne Dodgers,
but nevertheless got the loss. |

The Challengers offense struggled against the pitching of Cologne
starter Frank Stattler. |

Thomas Landis got the win against the Stockholm BSK by pitching six
strong innings. |
Former Challengers Saentis Zeller, who joined the team for the European
Cup belted an important homer against the Stockholm BSK. |

The batters from Brasschaat proved to be to strong in the Semifinals. |

Manny Marchant was an effective closer both against Stockholm and
Brasschaat. |

Team spirit was an inmportant factor for the Challengers to advance
to the Semifinals. |

Nick Lehmann did a great job behind the plate and also hit a homer
against Stockholm. |
