Cards sweep Challengers 3-0
The NLA-team was swept by the Bern Cardinals in this year's Swiss Finals, losing Game 3 3-1. A three-run homer by John Baum in the first inning was all it took the Cardinals to win the game, capturing their second title since 2001. On the other hand, the Challengers lost their first Finals, losing their title from last year.
Swiss Cup 2005: Challengers defeated in Semis
The Challengers were defeated 7-4 by the Cardinals in the Swiss Cup semifinals, giving the Cards their first Finals appearance since 2001 when they won it all.
The Cards outhit the Challengers 12-11, overcoming four costly defensive blunders, and riding on some strong pitching performances from Severin Fries and John Baum.
