The Challengers took another tough loss in Game 2 on Sunday, August 30 against the Z\u00fcrich Barracudas, this time the C’s lost 4-5<\/a>. The Challengers almost erased a five-run deficit, but left the tying run on second base in the bottom of the ninth inning.<\/br>
\n<\/br>
\nThe C’s were dominant in the second half of the game and outhit their opponents 12-8, but couldn’t close the gap, as they missed too many chances to score. Clayton Carson started the rally with a double and scored on a RBI-single from Tobias Siegrist. In the fifth Robert Sedin and Siegrist again reduced the deficit to two runs 3-5 and in the sixth it seemed, that the C’s came within one run, but Jay Casimiro was called out at home. So it was in the eight frame, as the C’s scored another run with Siegrist crossing the plate on a wild pitch. The Barracudas are now leding the best-of-five semi-final series 5-4, so that the Challengers are already with their backs against the wall.
