Thomas Landis lost his second game of the season due to lack of offensive and defensive support.

The Challengers were still leading 5-4 though, but lost the lead when the Frogs scored two more runs on two errors and a wild pitch.

The Challengers responded by tying the score in the top of the fifth. Blickenstorfer singled and Bryan Shemley advanced him to third with his first double of the season. Makoto Fukamachi was walked to load the bases and Blickenstorfer scored after relief pitcher Steve Klee made a crucial error.

The two teams went into the bottom of the seventh with the score tied at 6-6. Leadoff batter Stephan Lüthy led off the inning with a double to right field. Ivana Piaia was given an intentional walk and Ehrismann slapped the first pitch from Landis over the right field fence for an RBI ground-rule double that sealed the game.

The Challengers finished with 10 hits, compared to 4 by the Frogs but made all their four errors when they counted most. Five of the seven runs Räber and Landis allowed were unearned as the Challenger fielders committed four errors.
