Jones throws gem against Challengers, win 2-0

The Challengers ran into Tim Jones who was on top of his game, leaving them helpless in a one-hit 2-0 shutout, securing the Embrach Mustangs a Playoff berth, and the first season sweep ever against the Challengers.

Jones engaged in a pitching duel with Robert Sedin as the two battled over nine innings for the win. Jones picked up his eighth win of the season as he allowed only Thomas Blank's fifth-inning single and walked none, while also striking out 15.

Sedin allowed two runs - one unearned - on only five hits and three walks, while also striking out 10, but it wasn't enough as his offense provided no spark, whatsoever.

Casey Auerbach and Josh Crouse again provided the necessary offense for the Mustangs with two hits apiece, and Chris Hutchinson's RBI-single was all the Mustangs needed in sweeping the Challengers.

Game notes
Jones' performance was worth a Game Score of 100. The best Game Score in Challengers history since 1994 is Thomas Landis' 90 from September 10, 1995 against the Challengers' B-team.
