Sanders, Sedin combine on 6-0 shutout

To keep their Playoff hopes alive, the Challengers were forced to win Game 2 against the Sissach Frogs, and they did so in convincing fashion.

James Sanders and Rob Sedin combined on a 6-0 shutout, and Sedin also contributed at the plate with two singles, two RBIs and three stolen bases.

The entire scoring was done in one single inning, as the Challengers sent 10 batters to the plate in the bottom of the second off Mario Idelfonso.

A bases-loaded walk to Saentis Zeller, an RBI-single by Juan Guzman, a two-run single by Sedin, a sac fly by Tobias Siegrist and a wild pitch accounted for the final score.

Sanders pitched the first four innings, pitching out of bases-loaded jams in the third and fourth innings, and Sedin was credited with the win by pitching the final five innings, allowing only three baserunners.

Game notes
Siegrist passed Thomas Landis for most career plate appearances with 1'879. He also tied Chris Palatinus for first on the all-time list with 243 walks. ...Shemley played his 300th game in the NLA.
