Juveniles finish in 4th place

The U12-Juveniles finish the 2015 season in fourth place. As in the semi-final series against the Swiss champions Rümlang Kobras the SG TruckStar/Challengers was far away from winning the games for third place against the SG Vikings/Devils. The SG lost 5-27 and 2-19. Nonetheless finishing in fourth place is the best result since the two clubs are cooperating. (photo by TruckStar)

The Challengers took another tough loss in Game 2 on Sunday, August 30 against the Zürich Barracudas, this time the C’s lost 4-5. The Challengers almost erased a five-run deficit, but left the tying run on second base in the bottom of the ninth inning.

In the fifth Robert Sedin and Siegrist again reduced the deficit to two runs 3-5 and in the sixth it seemed, that the C’s came within one run, but Jay Casimiro was called out at home. So it was in the eight frame, as the C’s scored another run with Siegrist crossing the plate on a wild pitch. The Barracudas are now leding the best-of-five semi-final series 5-4, so that the Challengers are already with their backs against the wall.
