After starting the season with two wins against the defending champion Therwil Flyers, the Softball-Team stays unbeaten, as the C’s won twice on Saturday, April 26 against the Geneva Dragons at the Klopstockwiese.
Leandra Simitovic pitched four 1/3 strong innings and the Challengers beat the Geneva Dragons 14-7 in Game 1. Simitovic allowed one run and four hits, walked only one and struck out two for her third win of the season, while Karin Mittelstädt, Ziegylou Wehrli, Isabella Yaheya and Simitovic had two hits apiece and Simone Zurschmitten drove in three runs.
Alexia Zingg and Leandra Simitovic had three hits each, while Zingg and Simona Cellar scored three runs apiece and the two teams combined for 18 errors, as the Challengers posted a wild 14-11 victory in Game 2. The C’s remain in first place with a 4-0 record. They will travel to Hünenberg on Sunday, May 4 to face the Unicorns. more
