The Confederation of European Baseball (C.E.B.) made the drawing for this year’s European Cup Qualifier tournaments. The Swiss Baseball National Team will travel to Karlovac, Croatia, where it will face the teams from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Ukraine and Croatia from July 27 till August 2.
The team of former Challengers Headcoach Andy Fleischacker will start its campaign with a kick-off weekend at Lenzerheide on January 24 and 25. The Challengers players Francisco Colindres and Tobias Siegrist will take part at the kick-off weekend.

Die Gruppeneinteilung für den European Cup Qualifier wurde von der Confederation of European Baseball (C.E.B.) bekannt gegeben. Die Schweizer Baseball Nationalmannschaft trifft vom 27. Juli bis 2. August im kroatischen Karlovac auf die Teams von Bulgarien, Slowakei, Slowenien, Ukraine und Gastgeber Kroatien.

U12-Juveniles am Sonntag in Sissach
Die U12-Juveniles der Challengers bestreiten am Sonntag, 25. Januar in Sissach gemeinsam mit den Dulliken TruckStar das Juveniles Hallenturnier der Sissach Frogs. Am Turnier im Rahmen des 30-Jahr Jubiläums der Frogs nehmen neben dem Gastgeber Sissach Frogs auch die Therwil Flyers und die Rümlang Kobras teil. Gespielt wird in der Turnhalle der Sportanlage Tannenbrunn.

The U12-Juveniles will participate together with the Dulliken TruckStar at the Sissach U12 Indoor Tournament on Sunday, January 25. The Frogs, who celebrate their 30-year anniversary in 2015, will host also the Therwil Flyers and the Rümlang Kobras. The tournament will take place at the gym Sportanlage Tannenbrunn.

The Challengers 2015 season opened with a T-Ball tournament on Saturday, January 17 at Rümlang. The youngest Challengers played together with the Dulliken TruckStar against the Neuenburg Atomics (Germany), Devils/Vikings and Rümlang Kobras. Some Challengers played their first matches ever and gained experience. Thanks to the Kobras for organizing the tournament.

Die Challengers Saison 2015 wurde am Samstag, 17. Januar von den Kleinsten mit einem T-Ball Turnier in Rümlang eröffnet. Die jüngsten Challengers spielten gemeinsam mit den Dulliken TruckStar gegen die Neuenburg Atomics (Deutschland), Devils/Vikings und die Rümlang Kobras. Einige Challengers konnten an diesem Turnier erstmals wettkampfmässig Baseball spielen und erste Erfahrungen sammeln. Ein grosses Dankeschön an die Kobras für die tolle Organisation.

Das Wintertraining für das Zürich Challengers Softball Team findet jeden Montag von 18.15 bis 19.45 Uhr und jeden Donnerstag von 20.00 bis 21.30 Uhr in der Turnhalle Rämibühl an der Rämistr. 80 in Zürich statt (Tram 5 & 9 bis Kantonsschule). Das erste Training nach den Weihnachtsferien findet am Montag, 5. Januar statt.
Zusätzlich findet jeden Dienstag von 18.15 bis 20.00 Uhr das Pitcher/Catcher Training in der Turnhslle Lavater an der Schulhausstr. 1 in Zürich statt (Tram 7 bis Museum Rietberg).

The first session after the Christmas break will take place on Monday, January 5.
In addition to that the pitcher/catcher practice will take place every Tuesday from 6.15pm till 8.00pm at the Turnhalle Lavater at the Schulhausstr. 1 in Zurich (tram 7 to Museum Rietberg).
