With the Challengers leading 10-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Bryan Shemley was hit by a pitch by Martinez. The two exchanged some words, and the benches quickly emptied.

The umpiring crew managed to restore order, but two batters later, plate umpire Roger Savoldelli ejected catcher Jimenez from the game for repeatedly arguing balls and strikes.

The Indians were left with eight players, unable to continue to play.

There was another exchange of words between some players, but the teams regrouped and shook hands afterwards.

The two teams also scored some runs in the game, with the Challengers getting on board first. Chris Palatinus' run-scoring ground out and Anthony Bennett's RBI-single gave them a two-run cushion.

But the Indians managed to tie the game against starter Thomas Burger in the top of the third, scoring twice on Cassimiro's two-run single.

But a fine 8-4 double play by Bennett and Patrick Zöllig two batters later put a brake on the Indians' surge.

The Challengers went on to score in the bottom half of the inning, and really broke loose in the fourth inning as three hits and two errors gave them an 8-2 lead.

Saentis Zeller's RBI-double and Palatinus' RBI-single pushed two more runs across the plate in the fifth inning, and the Indians' spirit was gone by then.

In the end, Burger was credited with the win, pushing his record to 3-0 on the season. He allowed only three runs on seven hits and two walks while also striking out two.
