Challengers concede Game 2

This time, the Challengers played flawlessly on the field, but the hits just didn't came, and in the end had to forfeit the game after player coach James Sanders was tossed by plate umpire Mark Cole after a heated exchange.

What happened? In the top of the fifth, Jesus Martinez tried to steal third base, and Chris Palatinus swung through the pitch to protect the runner. Palatinus' backswing hit catcher Strahil Georgiev's mitt as he came up trying to throw to third base. Cole first hesitated, but then called Palatinus out on interference, bringing Sanders to the plate to ask why he would be out.

After some words were exchanged, Cole reacted and tossed Sanders, leaving the Challengers with just eight players after already having substituted all the bench players.

The Barracudas scored six runs in the first four inning off starter Thomas Burger, while the Challengers struggled against Frank Berchtold, managing to produce only two runs on an error in the top of the fourth.

Tobias Siegrist's first homer of the season in the fifth inning cut the Barracudas' lead to 6-3.

Burger got credited with his second loss of the season, also raising his ERA to 8.04.
