Challengers struggle to get by Lions 8-5

Thanks to one big inning, the Challengers got past the Zürich Lions 8-5.

Six runs in the second inning was all starter Tobias Siegrist and his team needed to slip past the team who is still looking to win its first game of the season.

Siegrist pitched five innings for his second win of the season, and Thomas Burger and Ryan Byrne pitched two innings each in relief with Byrne picking up his second save of the season.

Robert Sedin led the Challengers' offense by going 3-for-5 with a double, his ninth of the season, an RBI, three runs scored and three steals. Eidrys Reyes also contributed three hits, including a standup triple in the third inning, an RBI, a run scored and three steals.
