Shannon’s 3-run homer the difference in Flyers’ win

One big swing off the bat from one of the best players in the league gave the Flyers their fourth consecutive win against the Challengers with a 5-2 win in Game 1 of Sunday’s doubleheader.

Hideori Oshima outdueled Tobias Siegrist with a complete-game five-hitter, earning him his fourth win in five starts this season.

Oshima surrendered one run each in the first and third innings on RBI-singles by Siegrist and Saentis Zeller, but Shannon’s three-run homer in the fourth was all the runs Oshima needed fort he win.

Hide Oshima added a solo homer of his own to help his cause, and Taka Oshima ended up being the only player with at least two hits.
