Barracudas Roll Past Challengers in 12-2 Victory

The Zürich Barracudas powered past the Zürich Challengers 12-2 behind six strong innings from winning pitcher Jo. Inglis and multi-RBI performances from Nicholas Fischer and Nils Brüderli.
The Zürich Barracudas took early control in the top of the first inning, scoring four runs on an RBI single by Aron Augsburger, a two-run double from Nils Brüderli, and a run coming home on a wild pitch. The Zürich Challengers cut into the deficit in the bottom of the third inning when David Castillo hit a two-run single to drive in Shadir Isaac Mora Soler and Leonel Yemalla Hernandez Reyes, making it 4-2. The Barracudas struck back in the fourth with an RBI double from Nicholas Michael Miceli and an RBI groundout by Augsburger to extend their lead to 6-2. In the top of the sixth, the Barracudas pulled away with a four-run rally triggered by a Nicholas Fischer RBI single, wild pitches, and a bases-loaded walk to Kai Wilson. They added two final insurance runs in the seventh on back-to-back RBI hits from Fischer and Brüderli. Inglis earned the win on the mound, allowing no earned runs on three hits over six innings with six strikeouts, while Ar. Lonstein took the loss for the Challengers.
