Zürich Barracudas Outslug Zürich Challengers 20-8

The Zürich Barracudas powered past the Zürich Challengers 20-8 in a high-scoring game. Reliever Tiago Lutz earned the win with eight strikeouts over three innings, while the Barracudas offense took advantage of multiple defensive miscues and timely hits.
The Zürich Barracudas struck first in the opening frame as Alexander Bruce scored on an error and Nils Brüderli drove in Yuki Nagae with a single. The Zürich Challengers responded in the bottom of the first, taking a 5-2 lead after RBI singles from David Castillo and Carsten Kevin Zuber, followed by a two-run error. Saentis Zeller added an RBI single in the second inning to extend the Challengers lead. However, the Barracudas took control with a massive seven-run rally in the third inning, highlighted by RBI walks from Kai Wilson and John Andrew Inglis, a steal of home by Wilson, an RBI single by Alexander Bruce, a sacrifice fly from Yuki Nagae, and multiple wild pitches. In the fourth, the Challengers pulled one back on a sacrifice fly by Jack Siemers, but the Barracudas kept pressing in the fifth as Kai Wilson hit an RBI triple and Bruce delivered another RBI single. The Barracudas pulled away completely in the final frame with RBI hits from Giovanni Jerson Tafalla, Nils Brüderli, and Kai Wilson, capitalized by several fielding errors. On the mound, Tiago Lutz pitched three innings, surrendering four hits and one earned run while striking out eight batters to secure the victory for the Barracudas. Laureano Santana Ca. was charged with the loss after allowing four earned runs and four walks in 2.1 innings.
