Beat Eichenberger hit his second homer of the season and raised his team-leading average to .385.

The second team of the Challengers suffered its sixth loss in the last seven games, this time against the previously winless Barracudas from Zürich.

The score was 3-2 after 3 innings of play when the Barracudas put the game away with a four-run fourth inning. Starting pitcher Cerquone hit a bases-loaded single and Bosshard followed with a two-run single that put the Barracudas up 7-2.

The Challengers reacted in the sixth inning as Beat Eichenberger hit his second homer of the season, a two-run shot off Cerquone.

In all, the Challengers managed just four hits off Cerquone, who allowed just three earned runs and struck out four Challengers.

The Challengers defense was shaky again and committed eight errors. Starting pitcher Harry Bregy (2-5) lasted just 3 2-3 innings, giving up seven runs, five of them unearned, on four hits and seven bases-on-balls. Patrick Bosshard relieved him and did a good job, allowing just one earned run on four hits and two bases-on-balls.
