Challengers 20, Braves 10

The NLB-team beat the Chur Braves 20-10 in seven innings to clinch a playoff berth in this year's NLB playoffs.

Harry Bregy won his third decision of the year by working three innings in relief.

The Challengers' offense scored 20 times on just nine hits, profiting largely from the shaky Braves defense that committed 10 errors.

After no score in the first inning, the Braves scored three times in the top of the second on three consecutive bases-loaded walks given up by Oli Christen. Christen escaped the jam by popping up Weideli to end that dreadful inning.

Then the Challengers sent 13 batters to the plate to score nine runs in their half of the second frame. It was highlighted by Tobias Siegrist and Stefan Eisenring who both had two hits in that inning.

After scoring six more in the third inning, the Challengers already had a comfortable 15-4 lead.

Oli Christen was relieved by Harry Bregy after walking 14 batters and Bregy (3-0) promptly inherited the win by throwing a three-hitter over the last three innings, walking just three and striking out two.

Tobias Siegrist finished the game with a game-high two hits in two at-bats to drop his batting average to .617.
