Challengers 7, Devils 3

The Challengers turned the tables and won the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Wil Devils in Game 2 of the NLB Promotion round.

After being limited to just three runs in Game 1, the Challengers did the same to their counterparts and eventually won 7-3. They did it by getting just eight hits, the same number as in Game 1, but were able to blow the game open in the sixth inning by scoring three times for a 5-1 lead.

Harry Bregy earned his fourth win in as many decisions this year and also stole his team-leading 28th base of the season.
The Challengers went ahead in the second inning on rookie Cameron Minns' two-run double with one out. Eric Trautmann then lined out to shortstop Beier who doubled Minns off second base to end the threat.

Starter Harry Bregy allowed just a single earned run and it came in the second inning on Nussberger's RBI-single. After that, Bregy just gave up three more hits to pick up his fourth win of the season, leading all Challengers.

The Challengers scored two runs in the sixth inning on two sac flies by Lehmann and Tobias Siegrist, the first time this season that the Challengers had two sacrifice flies in one game.

Both Devil runs in the seventh inning were unearned as Maganto got on on an overthrow by third baseman Nick Lehmann with two outs.

Batting leader Siegrist went 1-for-3 to drop his average from .604 to .589. Stefan Eisenring is second with a .412 average. Siegrist also leads all Challengres in doubles (12), RBI's (30), hits (33), total bases (48), slugging percentage (.857) and on-base percentage (.617).
