The Challengers had a better start this time than in Game 1 as Tobias Siegrist homered in the first inning with two runners on, giving his team a 3-0 lead in the middle of the first inning.

The Eagles got two runs back in the bottom half of the inning on Bhend's two-run homer.

They even recaptured the lead in the next inning on an RBI-single by Müller and a run-scoring ground out by Bhend for a 4-3 lead after two innings of play.

The Challengers, in the meantime, had no baserunners in the second, third and fourth innings before they hit four singles in the fifth inning. Nevertheless, only one run scored as Stefan Eisenring got caught stealing home with two outs.

Going into the top of the final inning, the Challengers trailed by five runs. But they put together a fabulous rally to score six times for a 10-9 lead. Siegrist had an RBI-double, Christian Bülte and Patrick Zöllig hit two-run singles, and Willy Schaub was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in the go-ahead run.

Starter Harry Bregy was handed the ball to complete the game, but he couldn't do it as catcher D'Angelo's RBI-double with one out sealed the 11-10 victory for the Eagles.
