Moose Junction sink Challengers 30-7

The Challengers were helpless against the promoted Olten Moose Junction throughout the whole game, losing clearly 30-7 in a one-sided matchup.

The NLB-newcomers jumped on Challenger starter Willy Schaub in the first inning, and also profited from a lackluster defense that committed eight errors.

Trailing 7-0 before they even took the bats into their hands, the Challengers quickly surrendered and never were able to break Strucher's brilliant pitching.

He finished the game giving up seven runs - three of them unearned - on seven hits and eight walks while also striking out three.

Schaub's line was a little bit worse: 5 IP, 20 H, 30 R, 19 ER, 14 BB, 5 SO. This performance contributed to his first loss of the season, and the sixth in a row for his team.

While eight of the opposing starters had at least two hits, the Challengers had only two batters with two hits, and only three others had at least one hit, with Manuel Schretzmann's double as the only extra-base hit.
