Flyers rip Challengers 11-3

The Flyers used a big sixth inning to take Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

With the score all tied at 3, the Flyers sent 12 batters to the plate against reliever Nick Lehmann to score eight times.

No Flyer had two hits in that inning, but they used Lehmann's lack of control to draw three walks and getting hit by a pitch twice.

Mario Cuevas of the Flyers ended up with the win by tossing four shutout innings in relief.

The Challengers started strong by getting two runs in the opening inning on Lehmann's run-scoring ground out and Wascar Garcia's RBI-double.

The Flyers tied the game at 3 all in the fifth inning on Kevin Stuker's RBI-triple off Willy Schaub, followed by Emanuel Raouzeus' RBI-single.

After that, it was all Flyers for the remainder of the game.

Takanobu Oshima led the Flyers' offense with a 3-for-3 performance, including two runs scored.
