Challengers cruise past Indians 15-5

The Lausanne Indians opened the scoring in the top of the first inning when Colin Dorsett hit an RBI single to drive in Maxime Flayol. The Challengers quickly responded in the bottom half, drawing even when Noam Blickenstorfer walked with the bases loaded to force in Jordi Bucher. The Challengers took command in the second inning with a five-run rally. Florin Kämpfer knocked a two-run single, Ari Lonstein scored on a wild pitch, and Shadir Isaac Mora Soler and Bastian Kämpfer each added RBI singles to build a 6-1 lead. The Challengers extended the advantage to 8-1 in the third inning behind RBI singles from Jordi Bucher and Florin Kämpfer. Lausanne mounted a comeback attempt in the top of the fourth inning, scoring four runs. Léon Michel lined a triple to left-center that brought home Colin Dorsett and Michel himself, followed by a Léo Piguet RBI single that scored Gwendal Mottay and allowed Samuel Mason Zapp to cross home on an error. The Challengers answered in the bottom of the fourth with two runs, powered by a Jacob Stotz RBI single and a second run coming across on a play during Jacob Stotz's wild pitch sequence. The Challengers added three more runs in the fifth inning on an error, an RBI double from Mora Soler, and a pitch error by Colin Dorsett to extend the lead to 13-5. After Jo. Bucher held Lausanne scoreless in relief, Ari Lonstein launched a two-run inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to complete the 15-5 victory. Victor Sobczak took the loss for Lausanne.
