Challengers downed by Flyers again, lose 2-9

In Game 2 Karen Heimgartner's stellar pitching kept the Flyers' bats quiet while solid base hits from Taylor Mc Cants, Jennifer Montague, Alexia Zingg and Leandra Simitovic gave the Challengers an early lead.

Slowly and steadily the Flyers got back on the scoreboard and a triple with bases loaded near the end of the game sealed the deal for the Flyers' victory of 9-2.

Special mention to the newer players who all had a chance to get some game time under their belts in preparation for the next game.

Heimgartner made her 50th start for the Challengers. She has a 25-19 record with a 1.25 ERA and 513 strikeouts.
