The Barracudas took an early lead in the second inning when Amy Mathis scored on a fielder's choice grounder by Riona Lutz. In the third inning, Anja Perisset hit a bunt single and scored on an RBI single by Ines Dübendorfer to extend the Barracudas' lead to 2-0. The Challengers answered in the bottom of the third inning. Kirsten Rene Schmidt singled and scored on an RBI single by Gisele Pinck, and Carmen Lutz-Demetz scored on a fielder's choice groundout by Ciara Giles-Doran to tie the game at 2-2. The Barracudas broke the tie in the top of the fifth inning when Andrea Brändli singled to left field and Mariah Jameyson followed with a two-run home run on the first pitch. The Barracudas added two more runs in the seventh inning after Mariah Jameyson walked and stole second, and Ines Dübendorfer reached on an error. An error on a sacrifice fly attempt by Amy Mathis brought both Jameyson and Dübendorfer home to make it 6-2. Piper Reed earned the win in relief, giving up one earned run on eight hits with three strikeouts and no walks over five innings.
