Challengers with sign of life

The Challengers played their best game of the season, while the Zürich Barracudas celebrated their 30-year anniversary. After falling behind 0-3 in the first inning, the C’s turned things around to eventually win 8-4 Tobias Siegrist threw a complete game, as he allowed four runs and ten hits while striking out seven.

After being down by three runs, the Challengers fought back strong. After missing several scoring chances, they tied the game at 3-3 by scoring a run in the second, third and sixth innings. And in the top of the seventh the c’s broke the tie, as Bryan Shemley crossed the plate with a controversial call after a sac bunt by Jesus Martinez and an error by the Barracudas defense to make it 4-3. Francisco Colindres added another run with a RBI-single, while Clayton Carson drew a bases loaded walk to make it 6-3.

Robert Sedin delivered four hits and scored two runs, while James Sanders had three hits. With this win the Challengers remain in the battle for fourth place with a 7-8 record.
