The NLB-Team had a successful start into the 2013 season, as it swept the Hünenberg Unicorns on Opening Day. The Unicorns were ahead by one run after four frames, as the C's plated three runs in the fifth and sixth innings each and held on for a 7-3 victory in Game 1.
Both teams held the level high in Game 2. The lead changed three times and the C's added another win, as they edged the Unicorns 7-6. Thomas Burger tossed three strong innings of relief, while Oliver Bernet broke a 5-5 tie with a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning.
With the sweep the Challengers are in first place after the first two weekends of play. The C's will face the Therwil Flyers on Sunday, April 21.
