Staub was named in the 18-man roster for the Swiss U18-Nationalteam. Switzerland will participate at the 2010 European Championship Juniors Qualifier in Attnang-Puchheim, Austria from August 3 till 8.

Staub was placed on the disabled list with a fractured right tibia and fibula after he fell on an icy patch near his home in Winterthur. Staub already had surgery on Wednesday night. His father described the surgery as very successful". Doctors inserted a titanium plate to stabilize the fracture of the tibia and fibula. Staub will miss the most part of the 2010 season."

Staub was named Best Fielder in both the Juniors' and the 1.Liga-Team in 2009.

Staub was named in the 14-man roster for the Swiss U15-Nationalteam. Switzerland will participate at the 2009 U15 European Championship Cadets Qualifier in Antwerp, Belgium from July 20 till 25.

Staub was named the Juniors' MVP in 2008 for the second time in a row after receiving the trophy already in 2007. He was also credited with the Best Fielder award in the 1.Liga in 2008.

Staub was named Best Fielder at the Cadets' European Championships in Reggio Calabria. He committed no errors in 39 chances (37 put outs and 2 assists), and also was part of a tournament-high four double plays.

Staub was named in the 20-man roster for the Swiss U15-Nationalteam. Switzerland will participate at the 2007 U15 European Championships at Reggio Calabria, Italy from July 7 till 15.
