Challengers throw combined no-hitter against Devils

Harry Bregy and Thomas Burger completed the Challengers' second combined no-hitter in a 12-0 win over the helpless Wil Devils.

Bregy, coming back from retirement and appearing in his first pitching stint, went five innings for the win, while Burger pitched the final two innings in perfect fashion.

The Devils had two baserunners on two walks, one of which was thrown out by catcher Robert Sedin trying to steal second base.

Sedin had four singles in four at-bats, raising his league-leading batting average to .484. He also collected three RBIs and scored three runs.

Saentis Zeller, Tobias Siegrist and newly-acquired Jesus Martinez added three hits apiece in a 17-hit attack.

Game notes
The first combined no-hitter in Challengers' history came on May 10, 1997 as Thomas Landis and Benny Räber completed the rare feat. ...Burger collected his 250th strikeout to lead off the sixth inning (6th alltime). ...Martinez' double in the fifth inning was his 30th with the Challengers.
