Thomas Landis came back from retirement and pitched two innings of scoreless relief to pick up his 100th career win in the NLA en route to a 15-2 win against the Zürich Lions.

He is the first pitcher in Swiss baseball to reach that remarkable milestone. His first win came in 1992, covering a span of 20 seasons.

The Challengers made sure early on that this game will be no contest. They scored eight times in the first two innings, sending 11 batters to the plate in the second inning.

Starter Kurt Kovac allowed one unearned in the third inning, paving the way for Landis' win who came on in the fourth.

Landis then faced the minmum of six batters in two innings, helped out by his catcher Robert Sedin who threw out Jermaine Pfister trying to steal second and then picked Nicholas Larson off third base.

Thomas Burger and Andrea Girasole both pitched one inning in relief with Burger giving up one more run in the sixth inning.

Patrick Maier had a game-high three hits, including his first triple of the season, Thomas Blank, Tobias Siegrist and Saentis Zeller each had two hits, and Sedin scored each time after getting walked three times.
