Wascar De Leon Garcia finally earned his first win of the season by tossing six innings against the Jona Bandits, allowing only a single unearned run. He also struck out eight.The Challenger scored 12 times and won with the highest margin since winning 31-4 on September 30, 2006, also against the Bandits.
The heart of the lineup with Carlos Nepomuceno, Garcia, Nick Lehmann and Daniele Carrozza had all the Challengers' hits as they went a combined 8-for-13.
Lehmann had two hits in four at-bats to raise his team-leading batting average to .643. He is 12-for-18 in his last five games.
