Challengers sweep Bandits

The NLB-Team won both games of their homestand against the Jona Bandits.

In game 1 Adrian Kämpfer celebrated his debut as a starting pitcher with his first win, lasting 5 innings and giving up 3 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks while fanning 4. Yanik Probst recorded 5 strikeouts to close the game, but gave up 3 more runs on 1 hit. Kurt Kovac with a double and Halvar Dil knocked in a pair each, while other rbi’s were provided by Alex Gordon, Kämpfer and Probst for a final score of 10-7.

In Game 2 Fabio Aimi and Kovac led the C’s with a single and a double each, collecting multiple RBIs. Jarrod Baker made a good offensive comeback with 2 singles. As a starting pitcher, he faced some control problems like Probst in the first game and had to surrender 5 runs in the second frame. Kovac took over and sealed the deal holding the Bandits to one more run, while the Challengers’ offense came from behind for an 11-6 win.
