Simitovic received her fourth MVP trophy

LeandraLeandra Simitovic was honored with the MVP award at the Challengers’ General Assembly on December 16, her fourth trophy after 2004, 2008 and 2009. Simitovic set team-highs with 25 hits, 6 doubles, 1 homerun, 22 RBI’s and 25 runs scored, while finishing the season with a .362 batting average and a .464 on-base percentage. Simitovic also went 5-7 with 42 strikeouts and a 6.65 ERA in 67.1 innings pitched in the pitcher’s circle earning her also the Best Pitcher award.
Taylor Mc Cants received her first Best Batter award, as she led the Challengers with a .382 batting average and was second with 21 hits, 15 RBI’s and 16 runs scored.
Sandrine Montandon was credited with the Most Improved Player award, as she was batting .263 with 10 hits, 9 RBI’s, 10 runs scored and a .378 on-base percentage.
Celine Welti walked away with the Best Fielder award, while Anouk Lkharrazi was named Rookie of the Year.
