Leandra Simitovic earned her third MVP award at the Challengers’ General Assembly on December 13 after winning the trophy already in 2004 and 2008. Simitovic collected 20 hits, 3 doubles and 14 RBI’s with a .339 batting average and a .430 on-base percentage and scored 23 runs. She also went 5-7 with a 3.95 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 69 innings pitched, earning her also the Best Pitcher award.
Simona Cellar walked away with the Best Batter award after setting team highs with 28 hits, 5 triples, a .418 batting average, a .494 on-base percentage and 24 stoles bases and finishing second with 28 runs scored.
Brigit Zuber was credited with the Most Improved Player award, while Celine Welti was named Rookie of the Year.
