The Softball-Team lost again against their local rivals Zürich Barracudas. The Barracudas won the night game on Thursday at the Klopstockwiese 11-5. The Challengers had a slow start, as their bats stayed quiet and the defense committed several errors for a 9-0 Barracudas lead in the fourth. At least the C’s scored their first run in the bottom of the fourth, as Ronja Weber hit a RBI-single. In the fifth the C’s tried to avoid a mercy rule loss and indeed Ziegylou Wehrli delivered a two-run single and an error and a double steal later they cut the deficit to 5-11. But there was not more to come, as the Barracudas held on to win the game.

Danielle Bonnet went 3-for-3 with two doubles in her home debut, while Leandra Simitovic allowed eleven runs – five earned – and twelve hits with six strikeouts. The Challengers have now a 3-2 record.
