The NLB-Team opened the score in the top of the first inning and never looked back to win the deciding Game 3 of its Semifinals Series against the Therwil Flyers. The Challengers will face the Bern Cardinals in the best-of-three Final Series after posting a convincing 24-4 victory over the Flyers.
 
Nick Lehmann allowed four runs and three hits with five walks and seven strikeouts to pick up his second win of the Series, while Yusuke Azuma went 3-for-5 with a triple and a double and drove in five runs. Lehmann scored five times, while Alex Gordon crossed the plate four times, as every Challengers starter scored at least twice.
 
The Flyers scored three runs in the third inning to close the gap to 3-4, but the C's answered right away with three runs of their own in the fourth and they put things out of reach with a 13-run fifth inning, as they sent 17 batters to the plate and delivered nine hits and drew five walks.

Das NLB-Team reist am Samstag, 5. Oktober zum entscheidenden dritten Spiel der Best-of-three Serie zwischen den Challengers und den Flyers nach Therwil. Nachdem beide Teams ihre Heimspiele gewinnen konnten, steht es in der Halbfinalserie 1-1. Der Sieger von Spiel 3 trifft im Ligafinal auf die zweite Equipe der Bern Cardinals. The NLB-Team missed its first chance to advance to the final, as the Challengers lost Game 2 of their best-of-three series at Therwil against the Flyers on Sunday, September 29. The Flyers tied the series at 1-1, as they posted a 10-8 win over the C's. The deciding Game 3 will take place on Saturday, October 5 at Therwil again.

The NLB-Team started its postseason with a convincing 12-4 victory over the Therwil Flyers on Saturday, September 28. Pitchers Nick Lehmann and Oliver Christen cooled down the Flyers' bats and the Challengers took a 1-0 sereis lead. Game 2 will take place on Sunday, September 29 at 10.30am at Therwil.

The NLB-Team swept the Hünenberg Unicorns on Saturday, September 7 to finish the preeliminary round in third place. The Challengers posted a 13-3 win in Game 1, followed by a 13-5 victory in Game 2 to move over .500 for the first time since opening day. The C's have now a 12-11 record and will face either the Bern Cardinals or the Therwil Flyers in the best-of-three semi-final series. The playoffs will begin on September 27.

The NLB-Team won for the third time in 2013 against the Sissach Frogs on Saturday, August 24 at the Heerenschürli ballpark. The Challengers posted a 16-11 victory in Game 1, as the C's held the Frogs and the rain off. Thanks to the win the C's passed the Frogs and moved into third place with a 10-11 record.
 
Game 2 of the double header had to be postponed due to rain. No make-up date has been announced so far. The C's will face the Hünenberg Unicorns on September 7 for their last game day of the season.

The Jona Bandits seem to be the most feared opponent for the Challengers NLB-Team in 2013. After two huge losses in July at Rapperswil-Jona the C's also lost Game 1 on Saturday, August 17 at the Heerenschürli ballpark. The Bandits built a 13-4 lead in the third inning, but the C's didn't give up and came within three runs, but eventually lost 17-20.
 
The C's showed in the second game of the day, what their game plan originally looked like, as Game 2 was all Challengers. Starter Yusuke Azuma allowed just two baserunners en route to an 11-0 shutout victory. The C's remain in fourth place with a 9-11 record. They will face next the third placed Sissach Frogs on August 24.

The NLB-Team split with the so far first placed Flyers on Sunday, August 11 at the Heerenschürli ballpark. The Challengers ended the Flyers 13-game winning streak, as the C's posted a 17-13 win in Game 1. The Flyers, who lost for the first time since opening day, bounced back in Game 2, as they walked away with a 6-1 victory. The C's remain in fourth place with a 8-10 record.
