The NLB-Team played against the third placed Unicorns on Saturday at Hünenberg. The C’s were dominated in both games by the good pitching and strong batting from the Unicorns. The veterans were responsible for the only Challengers‘ run in Game 1, as Beat Eichenberger scored on a RBI-groundout by Pierre Burger and Eichenberger and Jan Stuchlik had a double each, as the Unicorns cruised to a 14-1 victory.
Adderly Sarmiento had three hits and scored two runs in Game 2, while spot starter Dean Scherbaum tossed a complete game with five strikeouts, but the defense committed seven errors, as the C’s lost 4-19.
