The NLB-Team won the make-up game against the Thun Hunters on Saturday, September 6 at the Heerenschürli ballpark, as the Challengers edged the Hunters 3-2. The C's finish the qualification round in first place of the Group B with a 15-1 record and will face the Jona Bandits for a best-of-three quarter-final series with the Games 1 and 2 on Saturday, September 13 at the Heerenschürli ballpark.
The Hunters (4-12) finish in fifth place with the same record as the Hünenberg Unicorns in fourth, but will miss the playoffs due to the tie-breaker rules.

The 15th game of the season was the first one the Challengers couldn't win. The C's saw their 14-game winning streak halted, as their cross-town rival Zürich Barracudas posted a 13-8 victory on Saturday, August 30 at the Heerenschürli ballpark. The C's first erased a three-run deficit in the third inning, but the Barracudas broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the fourth frame, as they scored six runs with two outs on four consecutive hits. The C's fought till the end, but weren't able to turn things around again. Juan de la Rosa Bautista led the offense with a RBI-triple.

Das NLB-Team misst sich am Samstag, 30. August um 19.00 Uhr im Baseballstadion Heerenschürli mit dem Stadtrivalen Zürich Barracudas. Die Challengers sind noch immer ungeschlagen und weisen einen Vorsprung von 5.5 Spielen auf die zweitplatzierten Barracudas auf. Es wird dies das zweite Nightgame der beiden Teams in dieser Saison sein. Im ersten setzten sich die Challengers knapp mit 4-3 durch.
Die U15-Cadets treffen am Samstag, 30. August in Dulliken auf die Spielgemeinschaft der Cardinals/Frogs. Es ist dies der erste Spieltag der Platzierungsrunde für die Ränge 5 bis 10. Spielbeginn für die SG TruckStar/Challengers ist um 12.00 und 14.30 Uhr auf dem Sportplatz Untere Ey.
NLB-Team battles, remains unbeaten
The NLB-Team kept its perfect record alive with two close wins over the Embrach Mustangs on Saturday, August 23. The Challengers erased a seven-run deficit, as they edged the Mustangs 12-11 in Game 1. Carlos Nepomuceno had four hits, while Kurt Kovac and Daiki Sato delivered three hits each.
In the second game of the day the C's, trailing 1-8 in the top of the fourth inning, exploded for ten runs in the bottom of the fourth frame to eventually win 13-11. Yusuke Azuma had two hits and drove in three, while Francesco Falcone and Adrian Chines Amoros added two hits apiece. The C's will face the second placed Zürich Barracudas on August 30 for a night game.
NLB-Team adds another win
The NLB-Team posted its 12th win of the season, as the Challengers won 15-2 over the Thun Hunters on Saturday, August 16 at the Heerenschürli ballpark. Although the Hunters opened the score crossing the plate twice in the first frame, the C's sealed the deal already in the bottom half of the first inning. The Challengers scored 12 runs on seven hits, two walks and two hit batters for a 12-2 lead. Yusuke Azuma, Juan Bautista de la Rosa and Adderly Sarmiento delivered two hits apiece and five different players drove in two runs each, while Oli Christen gave up two runs and four hits with seven walks and seven strikeouts in 5 1-3 innings for his fourth win of the campaign. Game 2 had to be canceled due to heavy rain.

The NLB-Team remained unbeaten in 2014 after sweeping the Embrach Mustangs on Sunday, August 10 at Embrach. The Challengers, who are now 11-0, posted a 15-4 victory in Game 1, before they confirmed the feat with a 14-4 win in the second game of the day. The C's have now a four-game lead over the second placed Zürich Barracudas and will play the Thun Hunters on Saturday, August 16 at the Heerenschürli ballpark.

The NLB-Team remained perfect in 2014 and extended its winning streak to nine games, after beating its cross-town rivals Zürich Barracudas 4-3 on Wednesday night at the Heerenschürli ballpark. And it was a dramatic win for the C's in a game that included a triple play, a two-run infield fly, a winner who was outhit 7-4 and a second baseman who juggled the ball about three times for the final out of the game with a one-run lead and runners on second and third base.
Challengers starter Oli Christen went 7.1 innings allowing three runs – two earned – and seven hits with seven strikeouts for his third win of the season, while Nick Lehmann pitched the final 1.2 innings to notch the save. The C's will face the Embrach Mustangs on Sunday, August 10 for a double header.
NLB Night Game am Mittwoch

Das NLB-Team spielt am Mittwoch, 6. August in einem Night Game um 19.00 Uhr im Baseballstadion Heerenschürli gegen den Stadtrivalen Zürich Barracudas. Die Challengers werden gegen die zweitplatzierten Barracudas versuchen, ihre Ungeschlagenheit in der laufenden Saison zu bewahren und ihre Siegesserie weiter auszubauen. Die beiden Teams trafen bereits am 11. Mai aufeinander. Damals blieben die Challengers zwei Mal siegreich.
NLB-Team remains perfect
The NLB-Team swept the Thun Hunters on Sunday, July 13 at the Berner Oberland to keep their record perfect. The Challengers took Game 1 of the double header, that was originally scheduled for May 24, by posting a 12-1 victory over the Hunters and they added an 11-3 win in Game 2 to extend their lead over the second placed Zürich Barracudas to two games.
